Hardwood Floor Sanding in Naples, FL

Sanding is the central stage of restoring hardwood — where worn finish comes off and flawless, fresh wood is revealed. It's the step where experience shows.

The Service

Hardwood Floor Sanding, done right.

Every beautiful refinished floor starts with expert sanding. It is the most skill-dependent step in hardwood restoration: sand too aggressively and you leave waves and dish-out that show in every ray of Naples sunlight; sand too timidly and old finish and scratches remain locked in the wood. Our craftsmen run professional drum, edger, and multi-disc machines through carefully sequenced grits to leave your floor flat, smooth, and perfectly prepared for stain and finish.

We use dust-containment systems on every sanding job, capturing the overwhelming majority of dust at the machine before it ever reaches your air. That matters in lived-in homes, and it especially matters in condos and gated communities where shared hallways and HOA rules demand a clean, professional operation.

We check board condition, set nails, and mask off adjoining rooms before the first pass.

  2. 02

    Coarse & Medium Passes

Progressive grits remove old finish and wear, flattening the floor field with drum and multi-disc machines.

  3. 03

    Edging & Detail Work

Edges, corners, and tight spots are sanded by hand and edger to blend seamlessly with the field.

  4. 04

    Fine Sanding & Buffing

Final fine grits and screening leave a silky, uniform surface ready for stain or clear finish.

Good to Know

Hardwood Sanding — your questions, answered

Is floor sanding really dusty?

With our dust-containment systems, the mess most people fear is largely eliminated. Fine dust is captured at the machine, and we mask and clean as part of every job. Your home will need a light cleanup afterward, not a renovation-level one.

How many times can a hardwood floor be sanded?

A typical 3/4-inch solid hardwood floor can be sanded four to six times over its life. Engineered floors depend on wear-layer thickness — we measure before recommending sanding so we never take off more than the floor can give.

Do you sand stairs and landings too?

Yes. Stair treads, risers, landings, and nosings are hand-detailed to match your main floors — often the most transformative part of the project.

Can sanding fix cupped or uneven boards?

Minor cupping and unevenness can often be sanded flat once the underlying moisture issue is resolved. We evaluate the cause first — sanding a floor that's still moving just recreates the problem.
