Hardwood Floor Color Matching in Naples, FL
Matching an addition to the original, a repair to the room, or new floors to a designer's vision — we mix custom stains to replicate your hardwood exactly.
The Service
Hardwood Floors Color Matching, done right.
Color matching is the most exacting skill in hardwood finishing. Wood color comes from species, age, sun exposure, stain, and finish all layered together — so replicating an existing floor means reading all of those and mixing custom stain blends until the new work is indistinguishable from the old. It's equal parts chemistry and trained eye, and it's a service we've built a reputation on.
We color match for home additions that must flow into original floors, for board replacements and room extensions, for new treads on existing staircases, and for clients who fell in love with a floor — in a model home, a magazine, a designer's portfolio — and want it recreated exactly. Every match is proven with samples on your actual wood before we commit.
Why Topline
What sets our color matching work apart
Custom-Mixed Stains
We blend stains on site — not limited to a brochure of stock colors.
Aged-Color Reading
We match the floor as it looks today, accounting for years of sun and finish ambering.
Proof Before Commitment
Sample patches on your actual wood — you approve the match before full application.
Whole-System Matching
Sheen and finish type are matched too; color alone isn't a match if the gloss is wrong.

Good to Know
Color Matching — your questions, answered
Can you match new hardwood in an addition to my existing floors?
Yes — it's our most common color-matching project. We match species and board dimensions first, then blend stain to bridge the color difference between fresh wood and your sun-aged original, so the transition line disappears.
Can you match a floor from a photo?
A photo gets us close; a physical reference gets us exact. We'll work from photos to shortlist blends, then fine-tune with samples in your home's actual light — the same floor reads differently under Naples sun than under showroom LEDs.
Why does new wood look different even with the same stain?
Because stain is only one layer of the color. Wood ages and ambers under UV, and old finishes yellow slightly. Matching means compensating for that history in the blend, which is exactly what our custom mixing does.
Will the match still look right years from now?
We plan for it. New and old wood age toward each other over time, and we account for how each will move. The result is a match that holds up as the floor lives on, not just on day one.
