Buffing Hardwood Floors in Naples, FL
The finishing touch that separates good floors from flawless ones — professional buffing evens sheen, erases micro-scratches, and revives luster.
The Service
Buffing Hardwood Floors, done right.
Buffing is the quiet hero of hardwood care. Using a rotary machine and fine abrasive pads, we smooth out the micro-scratches, scuffs, and dull traffic patterns that accumulate in a floor's finish — without touching the wood itself. The result is an even, renewed sheen across the whole floor, the kind of uniform glow that makes a room feel freshly done.
We buff as a standalone refresher, as preparation for a maintenance coat of finish, and as the final step of refinishing projects, where careful buffing between coats is what produces a glass-smooth result with fewer imperfections. If your floors look tired but the finish hasn't worn through, buffing may be all they need.

Good to Know
Floor Buffing — your questions, answered
What's the difference between buffing and sanding?
Sanding removes wood to erase deep damage and takes the floor back to raw timber. Buffing works only within the finish layer, smoothing surface imperfections — far faster, cleaner, and cheaper. If damage has gone through the finish, we'll tell you honestly that sanding is the right call.
How often should hardwood floors be buffed?
Every one to two years for most Naples homes, or annually for high-traffic and beach-adjacent houses where sand is constant. Buffed regularly, a floor's finish can last decades before needing full refinishing.
Will buffing remove scratches from my floor?
It removes scratches in the finish — the fine gray webbing and traffic dullness most floors show. Scratches that reach the wood or through stain need spot repair or refinishing, which we can assess during the same visit.
Is buffing the same as the polish service?
They're partners. Buffing mechanically smooths the finish; polishing adds protective luster on top. Many clients combine them — buff first, polish after — for the best result.
